“ Osteria Vera in Brentwood is such a cute little neighborhood Italian spot with a warm, inviting atmosphere and a solid lineup of traditional dishes. Portions are generous and the pricing feels fair for the quality, experience, and area. Service was attentive and friendly throughout the night, which always makes a difference. The menu has a nice variety, and we ordered a bit of everything. The zucchini blossoms were a standout (always a go-to for us at any Italian restaurant), and the involtini eggplant rolls were delicious and comforting. The cacio e pepe was a fun experience, served tableside in the giant cheese wheel, and it tasted just as good as it looked. The NY steak was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The only miss of the night was the sole fish special, which was unfortunately very salty. That said, the staff handled it well and made it right by offering us dessert and coffee, which we really appreciated. One small downside: they don't serve hard liquor, just beer and wine. Not a deal breaker, but worth noting. Overall, a great meal with great service in a lovely space. We'd definitely come back. ”
